This was the first year of the highly rated Porsche Cayman, Porsche nailed it the first year. This car is basically the worlds best drivers car. You don't have to believe me, pick up any automotive magazine, and there is nothing but praise for this car. The basics of this car, 295HP flat 6 mounted in the center of the car to give it a perfect center of gravity and even weight distribution. 6-speed manual gearbox, painted red calipers, silver instrument dials. This car has more corgo room than a Honda Accord when using both front and rear cargo areas. Like any Porsche on the market, it is all about the options, and this car has an abudance of them. Starting with the premium package, which gives you Xenon headlights, with headlight spray cleaner, also self-dimming mirrors, and heated seats. Also in this car is PCM (Porsche Communications Management) Navigation, with the optoinal telephone module. Send and receive calls and text messages or e-mails right from the interface of the radio. This is one option I would not do without on this Porsche. Also you have the Sport Chrono Plus package. The second option I would not do without on this Porsche. Press the sport button, and the car instantly feels more aggresive, it will increase throttle response, as well as give you the dash mounted Chronometer (stop watch) which you can time routes, or laps, and whith the optional Sport Chrono Plus package, can store and compare these lap times in the computer and you can view them on your PCM screen. The next option, is PASM, (Porsche Active Stability Management), a car equipped with PASM is alread 10mm lower to the ground, what this does, is stiffen up the suspension when you want or need it, for a more racey feeling. In addition to all of this, this car is equipped with the Carrera S wheels, which matches the paint on the car. This car also has a wired FM modulator, to play any sort of MP3 device. If you were to equip the same car today new, it would cost you north of $70,000, these cars are fun, beautiful to look at, and amazing to drive.
